We love to the gospel of Jesus Christ, it has brought us so much joy and peace in our lives. It is what holds our family together, especially during difficult times. We would love to have you join us for church any Sunday. Just leave your contact info in a comment and we will let you know the time and place.
Most people want to know what makes Mormons different from other religions. We believe the Bible to be the word of God; we love to read the stories of the life of Jesus Christ in the Bible. We also believe the Book for Mormon to be the word of God; that is where we get our nickname "Mormons."
In Ezekiel 37:16-17 it says, "Moreover, thou son of man, take thee one stick, and write upon it, For Judah, and for the children of Israel his companions: then take another stick, and write upon it, For Joseph, the stickof Ephraim, and for all the house of Israel his companions: And join them one to another into one stick; and they shall become one in thine hand."
We believe the Bible is the stick of Judah and the Book of Mormon is the stick of Ephraim. We know that the Book of Mormon is scripture but don't just take our word for it; we encourage you to read it and then pray and ask God if it is His word. We promise you that if you ask with a sincere heart that you will receive an answer of it's truthfulness. Where can you find this book? You can ask us, your Mormon friends or follow this link to request a free copy of the Book of Mormon. http://mormon.org/free-book-of-mormon
One of our modern day apostles, President Dieter F. Uchtdorf, said, "If you expect to find perfect people here you will be disappointed. but if you seek the pure doctrine of Christ, the word of God, which healeth the wounded soul, and the sanctifying of the Holy Ghost, then here you will find them . . . none of us is quite as Christlike as we know we should be. But we earnestly desire to overcome our faults and tendency to sin. With our heart and soul we yearn to become better with the help of the Atonement of Jesus Christ. If these are your desires, then regardless of your circumstances, your personal history, or the strength of your testimony, there is room for you in this Church. Come, join with us!" Here is his whole talk. http://www.lds.org/general-conference/2013/10/come-join-with-us
